SoloPip Privacy Policy

Account Information

• Name and email address
• Password (stored securely; we never store your password in plain text)

Phone Number & SMS Consent

• Your mobile phone number, if you opt in to receive SMS check-in reminders and alerts

Check-In & Outing Data

• Your check-in ("Pip") schedule and history (e.g., every 12 or 24 hours)
• One-off outing details you create, such as activity type and estimated time of arrival (ETA)
• Timestamps of when you check in, and whether a check-in was missed

Inner Circle / Emergency Contact Information

• Names, phone numbers, and/or email addresses of the contacts you add to be notified if you miss a check-in or outing ETA
• By adding a contact, you confirm you have their permission for SoloPip to contact them on your behalf under the circumstances described in these policies

Feedback

• Any feedback you submit through the app

We do not collect usage and device information or precise real-time GPS location unless a future feature explicitly requests it, in which case this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent.

We use the information we collect to:

• Send scheduled check-in ("Pip") reminders via SMS and/or push notification
• Send a follow-up reminder if you haven't checked in within your grace window
• Notify your designated inner circle contacts if a check-in or outing ETA is missed
• Maintain your account and check-in history
• Respond to feedback and support requests

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising or marketing to third parties.

We share information only as necessary to operate the app:

• Your inner circle contacts receive notifications (via SMS and/or email) if you miss a check-in, as you've configured
• Service providers who help us operate the app, including:
  • Twilio — to send and receive SMS messages
  • Resend — to send transactional emails (such as feedback confirmations)
  • Supabase — to securely store account and app data
• We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of you or others in an emergency

These service providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to SoloPip and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

If you opt in to SMS notifications:

• You will receive messages related to check-in reminders, grace-period reminders, and missed check-in alerts
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan
• Message frequency varies based on your check-in schedule and outing activity
• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message
• Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at support@solopip.com
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

We retain your account and check-in data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 7 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or safety-related recordkeeping.

You can:

• Update or delete your account information within the app
• Remove or edit inner circle contacts at any time
• Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP
• Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by contacting us at support@solopip.com

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data). Contact us and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage and secure transmission. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

SoloPip is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of SoloPip after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
